In order to convey an efficacious Communication supporting Cooperation for Development, Fabio Poggi, Assessor for International Cooperation in Modena (Italy), talks about the experience of his city and the powerful tool which he has found in a direct contact with “meaningful witnesses”. But, how do we measure the effective impact that International Cooperation activities have on common people? What are the appropriate indicators to evaluate this?
In this interview, Mr Poggi says that we should work together to define these indicators by starting from the very first step: the sharing of skills and synergies among the different Offices of the same Municipality!

Related to the Call for proposals “Investing in People – Children’s Participation”, Armadilla, along with the Eugad Partners has already sent to EC the Concept Note of the Project Proposal Empowering children voices and enabling educators understanding.
The specific objective of the proposed Action is to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the educational programs for the juvenile penal institutions through a Participatory approach, i.e. by helping children recognize their needs and express them in front of adults and become more capable to make pressure on the decision makers to allow these requests to be heard and accepted in the political and organizational decisions at local, national and international level.

The European Comission, in its last meeting with Stefano De Santis (end of November) informed that the expected outputs of the first year must be submitted to them by end-february ’10 in order for them to pay the next instalment for the Eugad Project in March.
The major output expected by Eugad for the First year is the submission of the manuals. Stefano is drafting the manuals and will be consulting the interviews of all stakeholder and other reports submitted by the project partners, in order to get ideas for the manual.
