Modena might be considered as a good example of the way how to manage human resources working for International Cooperation projects, as a lot of initiatives have been going on, inside this Municipality, related to this topic. See for example the presence in the town of Councillorship for International Cooperation, an Office for International Cooperation, a Course for Volunteers of International Cooperation, a specific Fund for International Cooperation, a Centre of Universities dedicated to International Cooperation, a magazine for International Cooperation, many Associations and schools involved in International Cooperation.

Participative Democracy and role of government, local institutions, common people – Umberto Allegretti

Recently we’ve been hearing about a new adjective sideways the word democracy, and it is participative.

In these last ten years the Representative Democracy highlighted its structural lacks, as it has been used from one side to exercise a very abitrary political power, and on the other side to justify the indifference of common people towards the social and administrative life. As consequence there’s the need nowadays of a new approach about the way how to interact with the municipal territory and with people and institutions there present, and that’s called Participative Democracy.
