Very often when communicating, we tend to be vague and unreliable with the information we share and not always answer questions like: Who says that? When do they say it? Now? At the time of writing? How many people think it? How many is some? What kind of people think it? Where are they? Or even, what kind of bias might they have?
Such questions are of great relevance when communicating to a larger public, especially in projects of international cooperation. Being vague in communication is known in literary terms as using ‘Weasel Words’. One must remember to cite authority and provide references when sharing information.
