Human Development Report 2010 – UNDP

Posted by Fausto Aarya De Santis on February 20, 2010 under Uncategorized | Be the First to Comment

2010 marks the twentieth anniversary of the human development report and sets the ground for a new vision on human development UNDP entities in different parts of the world.

Since 1990, the Human Development Report has been a major force in thinking about development, not only by highlighting the inadequacy of per capita income as the sole measure of a society’s progress, but also by exploring how a people-centered approach affects the way we should think about key challenges.

The 2010 report will thus seek to articulate an agenda for change to underpin a New Human Development Deal that can significantly advance development thinking and policies. It will incorporate thinking from academia and the policy world as well as new research to be commissioned or undertaken by the Human Development Report Office.
