University Lecturer, Dr. Claudiu Craciun, discusses teaching ‘development’, as a subject in Romanian universities, and its impact on creating awareness among the public and motivating them to get involved in global cooperation partnerships and programs.
Dr. Craciun argues that only through proper tools and messages can educators assist the crystallization of a “global conscience” and stimulate change primarily at the personal level, thus forming the basis for building global thinking and contribution. This, he says, is preferable to achieving the rather impossible political concept of “world citizenship”.
