Collecting and creating knowledge resources

The resources we are collecting and creating at Eugad are meant to facilitate the opinion makers in Europe to understand the challanges of the Global Partnership for Development so that they can better inform their target audiences.

This web site will collect organize and make available to all development stakeholders the resources from the Good Practices collected and made available by the Network Partners.

Eugad will also create new resources, specifically:

The Manuals illustrate how to integrate development issues into education and information activities, and provide indications on how to utilize the knowledge resources made available through the Web Portal.  The information, data analysis, findings, recommendations, etc. collected and compiled within other Activity Lines, is utilised to develop the Manuals, that are prepared through a process of stakeholder consultations on the project issues.  The articles of the Eugad Blog and their feedback will also be integrated in the Manuals.

Although the main body of the Manual on the Web will be in English, there will be three Manual summaries in Italian, Romanian and Bulgarian. Fifty hard copies for each language will be distributed along with multi-language interactive CDs.

Sharing the knowledge resources

We will share the resources collected and produced through this web site, thorugh the broatcast of documentaries and through the distribution of the manuals.

This sharing is vital for leading to the expected project outcomes.

Once the network has been established the partners collaborate in identifying new projects and raise funds in order to extend project outcomes and replicate the Action with other partners in other countries. See the List of new projects being designed amongst the Eugad partners. Along with the ongoing process of diaologue and Consultation, Eugad partners are identifying the areas for cooperation, build up synergies with other programmes and development actors.

By enabling public opinion makers (educationist and media) to raise awareness of the stakes of Global Partnership for Development,  Eugad will contribute to increasing, in the EU public, a sense of responsibility for the peoples of developing countries. We hope that, if the project is successful,  the long term impact will be more pressure on policy makers to implement international agreements aimed at reducing poverty and at establishing fairer relations between developed and developing countries.
